My feelings must never be my god.
GOD alone is GOD.
My feelings do not define Truth.
The Word of GOD alone is and defines Truth.
If I trust in my own feelings they will lead me over a cliff.
Many times I have found myself at the bottom of that cliff ...
My emotions do not inform reality to me, rather, The Word of GOD must inform and instruct my emotions.
Yet, the world system exalts emotions to an imbalanced dangerous position which is actually the worship of self. The lions of our emotions must be trained and never allowed to become wild devouring beasts.
This is a lifelong training and one that we can never afford to disguard.
Our feelings must never be our master.
Let's look at 6 things that it means to be "in Christ Jesus" :
1) 2 Timothy 1:9
The grace of GOD has been and is available to me.
2) Ephesians 1:4
I was chosen to be in Christ from before creation
3) Romans 8:38-39
I am loved by GOD with an inseperable love regardless of how I may feel.
4) Ephesians 1:7
I was and am redeemed and forgiven for all of my sin.
5) 2 Corinthians 5:21 says I am justified before GOD and the righteousness of Christ Himself is imputed to me.
I cannot make GOD love me less or more.
I cannot save myself.
I cannot add or subtract to what Messiah has done on my behalf.
His faithful love is consistently constant and unrelenting.
To be in Christ is to be in GOD Himself.
6) 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Galatians 3:26 tell me that I am a new creation and a son of GOD.
So, regardless of swinging emotions, on hormonal yoyo strings, GOD is our Unchanging Eternal ROCK of Ages.
Emotions are gifts from our Heavenly Father but because of our fallen nature in Adam, they must always be trained, like lions, to be under our mastery and not the other way round or they can be so destructive to both ourselves and others.
I am sure we all have personal regrets of when we allowed that to happen. Thanks be to GOD for His mercy and grace towards us in Messiah Jesus, Yeshuah.
Let's stop finding ourselves at the bottom of that cliff and keep the lions in training and under the subjection of The Ruach Ha Kodesh, The Holy Spirit and The Word of GOD which tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13)

Moses had once been an esteemed member of the royalty and powerful rulers of Egypt yet when GOD met with him at the burning bush and revealed Himself to Moses as The I Am That I Am, together with His call on Moses, he was unknown and of no name or reputation, had no influence or power and in his heart had relinquished all of that past way of life of self reliance. He then stood on Holy Ground. We see the supreme lesson of submission and obedience in our LORD Jesus Christ and the direct opposite of Satan's 5 "I wills" of rebellion against God which is also the way of the world system.
The "5 i wills of Satan" are five statements of prideful rebellion found in the biblical book of Isaiah 14:13-14, which describe Lucifer's desire to usurp GOD's authority. They are: "I will ascend into heaven," "I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD" "I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north," "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds," and "I will be like the Most High". These statements reveal Satan's self-sufficiency, pride, and ultimate intent to be equal with or greater than GOD. The world system in which we live and fallen man follows this code of lustful conduct. Rather than give worship to Elohim his Creator, Satan sought to grasp and gather worship of himself. But he is brought down by The LORD to the very lowest place.
In contrast, Philippians 2:5-11 outlines a pattern of humility and emptying of self sufficiency through Messiah's example also in five key stages: 1) Christ did not grasp onto His Divine equality, 2) His voluntary self-emptying, 3) His servant-like human form, 4) His obedient humility to death on the crosd and 5) His exaltation to the highest place not by Himself but by The Father.
This is our pattern, mindset and example to follow which is ways in direct antithesis to the fallen human nature and the anti Christ world system in which we are currently living in where reputation and glory are lusted after and grasped for, but it is the grasping of wind....
To have Christ Himself is to have all.

In Psalm 117, chesed is revealed as The LORD's great, powerful, and everlasting loyal love and mercy toward all nations and peoples. It is a covenantal love that is a core part of GOD's character and endures forever. Chesed is another one of those biblical Hebrew words—that translators have struggled to capture in any English words. Yet this Hebrew word is vital for understanding the way GOD relates to His own people. It occurs some 250 times in the Old Testament.
In different translations of the Bible, you may see it translated as “mercy,” “kindness,” “goodness”, “faithfulness,” "unfailing" “loyalty" and more. There’s no single English word that quite translates it adequately , which is why some translators have used more than one word: “steadfast love,” “loyal love,”"unfailing love" and “loving-kindness.”
It is the supernatural multifaceted loyal covenant keeping merciful tender compassionate love of GOD.
Chesed, is revealed in the book of Ruth through the actions of its main characters, particularly Ruth's unwavering loyalty to Naomi and Boaz's compassionate and faithful actions toward them. Chesed is a "faithful love in action". It is demonstrated in concrete acts of redemption, such as the deliverance from exile for the nation of Israel and, ultimately, in The Father 's sending of His Son Jesus Christ to provide salvation for all who believe on Him. It is a kindness shown to the undeserving and the weak, much like the example of David's kindness to Mephibosheth, Jonathan's crippled son, because of David's covenant relationship with Jonathan which he sought to fulfil even after Jonathan was dead.
In the book of Joshua 2:12-13 we read these words of Rahab:
"Now therefore, please swear to me by the LORD, since I have dealt kindly ( chesed) with you, that you will deal kindly (chesed) with my father’s household, and give me a sure sign that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters and all who belong to them that you will save us from death " The word translated as "kindness" here is "chesed." It isn’t just kindness. It is a promise keeping loyal love with actions of mercy, compassion faithfulness and justice. It is the covenant love of GOD with His own people, to those who cleave unto Him.
Psalm 136 reveals chesed as God's steadfast, enduring, and covenantal love, kindness, and loyalty, which is shown through His actions in creation and history, from the creation of the heavens and earth to the liberation of Israel from Egypt. The psalm emphasizes this through a litany where each statement of God's action is met with the refrain, "For his chesed endures forever," driving home the comprehensive and reliable nature of His love. The repetition of "For his chesed endures forever" (or similar translations like "steadfast love," "lovingkindness," or "mercy") serves as a constant reminder of the foundational and unchangeable nature of God's character.
The chesed of GOD is so long, high, wide and deep that it surpasses human understanding and imagination. See Psalm 103:11-12 and
Psalm 36:5-7
From the heights of the vast expanse of the universe to the depths of oceans, The Father's chesed upholds every tier of His creation.
Selah..
In New Testament Greek the word "Chesed" is translated as, "Agape" and is demonstrated through Messiah Jesus, The Covenant Mediator. His shed sacrificed blood is the evidence of His promise keeping love - Chesed.
See Hebrews 9:15
This supernatural love can only be experienced through The LORD Jesus Christ by being forgiven of sin and born again of His Spirit.
We, His children, are now called to follow His example of living a lifestyle of Agape- love without conditions and Chesed - tender merciful unfailing love .
See Matthew 5:43-45
The Agape of the New Testament would not exist without the Chesed of the Old Testament. The Holy Spirit is the promise of every Christian believer's inheritance in Christ. Because of His Chesed, we can trust our LORD to fulfill His promise and because of His Agape we can embrace it.
See Romans 5:8 and John 3:16
Psalm 36:7
"How precious is Your Chesed O Elohim.
Therefore people take refuge under the shadow of Your wings."
Chesed: The supernatural, multifaceted, immense, loyal love of God to His own that cleave unto Him. How precious is that steadfast, unfailingly faithful love of GOD ultimately expressed in the incarnation, life, death and resurrection of Messiah Jesus. Hallelujah!

Psalms 29:2: “Give unto the Lord the glory due His name, worship The LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
The word "beauty" in Hebrew is "behadrat" which means a garment..the Hebrew words are "behadrat kodesh" meaning garments, coverings of holiness, garments that are consecrated and set apart. "Worship" has two roots meanings: "shacah" which is to fall prostrate and "sacah" which means to swim or surround yourself with water.
This is where the idea of baptism by immersion comes from. For Jews it comes from the word "mikveh" which literally means "a gathering of water" . The word "mikveh" is first used in Genesis 1:10 to describe the gathering of water into one place after creation. It is also an immersion in water by a woman to achieve the ritual of purity after menstruation or childbirth. This type of ritual bathing is specified in Leviticus 11:36, which states that "a spring, or a cistern, a gathering (mikveh) of water" is a source of purity. It is an illustration of being surrounded by the Presence of God to both purify us and for us to worship Him, surrounded by His Mercy and Grace. The blood of The LORD Jesus Christ cleanses us and purifies us from all sin ( 1 John 1:7) and we are then free to enter and enjoy His Holy Presence, His Fellowship, His Intimacy of relationship for eternity. Worshipping Him in the beauty of His Holiness is simply letting Him cover us with Himself, like a blanket of His Love, surround and cover us with His Love and Presence like a cloud, and for us to be immersed in Him, swimming in the very midst of The Person of Him.

Deuteronomy 4:7: “For who is a great nation whose God is coming near to them as Jehovah your God is, in all our prayers to Him.
James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
In Deuteronomy 4:7 "For who is a great nation whose God is coming near to them”, the word for “coming near” is “kerovim.” The root word is “karav.” This word is used to express the inward part, the heart, being in the midst, or in the centre . ABBA Father's heart is literally all over us.
Selah...
Don’t forget that last part of the verse, “in all our prayers.” The word used here for prayer is “Kare’enu.” It literally means calling out, inviting, falling upon. Note the similarities between “karav” and “Kare.” This is a play on words. When we call, pray or fall all over God, He is literally all over us.
Both the Hebrew word "kerovim" for coming near in Deuteronomy 4:7 and the Greek word"eggizo" in James 4:8 means to draw near from the heart with the intention of joining yourself to another in an encompassing embrace or hug. I like to think of a child and parent running towards each other with outstretched arms ready to embrace. Our Heavenly Father is always eager to embrace us in His love the moment we seek to draw near to Him.
There is a story in the Jewish writings of the Talmud of a king and his son:
A king and his son were in such disagreement that eventually the son left home to live in another kingdom. After some time the king, the father, sent a messenger to his son asking his son to come home. The son replied: “That is too far for me to come.” The king, his father, sent his servant back with this message. “Then come as far as you can, and I will meet you.”
The LORD Yeshuah would have known the Jewish oral traditions very well and many scholars believe that The LORD Jesus drew upon the Talmud story of the king who asked his son to come as far as he could and from this story gave His own story in the parable of the prodigal son. In the story that The LORD Jesus told however this story ends with the father hugging and kissing his son – eggizo or kerovim.
Draw near to God in prayer and He will hug and kiss you.

The ministry and kingship of Saul started and ended with a covenant meal, firstly with the Prophet Samuel. (See 1 Samuel chapter 9:24) and the last with the Witch of Endor.(I Samuel 28:25)He started with a covenant with The Living GOD and ended with the Devil.
As the first king of Israel, Saul had started out with great promise, but his reign had taken a dark turn. He had disobeyed God's commandments on multiple occasions, becoming increasingly insecure, paranoid, and desperate. In 1 Samuel 28, Saul consults a medium - a clear violation of God's laws ( See Leviticus 19:21,20:6,and Deuteronomy 18:10-12), in his desperation for guidance. The medium conjures the spirit of the deceased prophet Samuel, who predicts Saul's imminent downfall. It is in the aftermath of this fateful encounter that the events of 1 Samuel 28:25 take place.
The act of eating in this verse is symbolic of several things. In the Middle East both then and to this day, sharing a meal was and is an act of hospitality and intimacy symbolic of a bond of trust. It often symbolizes a covenant or agreement between the parties involved. Here, the fact that Saul and his servants partake in a meal after the encounter with the medium highlights the tension between knowledge of Divine judgment and the pull human lustful desire in the heart and mind of Saul.
Saul was addicted to the praise of people. In 1 Samuel chapter 15 we see that Saul gave honour to himself in pride. He was rebellious against the command of The LORD and refused to take responsibility for his disobedience. Finally in verse 24 of 1 Samuel 15,Saul admits that he feared the people rather than The LORD GOD.
Pride
Rebellion
The Fear Of Man:
a trinity of satanic self destruction. If The LORD Jesus Christ, Yeshuah, is not LORD over all in our lives then is He actually our LORD at all?

God's standards are always inward, not outward. Like geodes we may appear rough and crude on the outside but on the inside GOD is at work making what is very precious in His sight. The Holy Spirit continues working with us and bringing forth beautiful treasures from within us as we yield to Him.
There are also those who outwardly may seem glossy and polished, but are resistant to God's Word and rot from within. Our outerman is our reputation with people but the hidden man of the heart is our reputation with God.
Selah....
1 Peter 3:4 describes the inner self characteristics that are precious in GOD 's sight, a spirit that is submissive to Him and gentle, not hard and unyielding in pride and rebellion.
David was chosen by The LORD to be king over Israel, even though his entire family dismissed him as being insignificant. See 1st Samuel chapter 16. GOD chose David because He valued David's inner qualities and not the physical outward appearance of his older brothers.
Jeremiah 23:29 says that GOD'S Word is like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. His Word breaks through the our hardness, rebellion and pride of heart to reveal the inner man of the heart. Geodes are a type of rock that on the outside look like just an ordinary lumpy bumpy rock BUT when broken open they reveal a hidden shining beautiful interior of crystals such as quartz, amethyst or agate. This is a picture of the spiritual core of a person in GOD'S sight. What He counts as precious in in complete antithesis to what people count as valuable... GOD rejected the strong, tall successful looking older son of Jesse, Eliab. Eliab 's heart had failed the test of Divine scrutiny. He saw in David's heart however, precious gems of his love for The LORD and his desire to honor Him. He was faithful in his devotion to the sheep and worshipped The LORD declaring in Psalm 23 that GOD Himself was David's shepherd. David did commit some serious sins down the line, but GOD saw that David's heart belonged to Him and when confronted with his sin, unlike Saul before him, he took responsibility for his sin and repented. People look at outward charisma, qualifications, talents etc or the outward lack of these things to form an opinion of someone , but GOD looks at the hidden man of the heart.
If our heart is broken open, what will be revealed? Shining crystals of a geode or the rotting substance of fruit that is bad.... Looks tasty on the outside but one bite reveals the rotting inner core....

It's easy to read Genesis 15:9-10 and think you have understood it, but oh there is such hidden beauty in these words. Firstly GOD Himself passes through the slain and separated carcasses of a heifer, a goat and a ram declaring His own death should He ever violate the covenant with Abraham sworn in blood. The two birds however are not cut in half. Why?
The answer lies in the Hebrew text. The first bird, a turtle dove is in Hebrew "tavar" meaning to search out or investigate. It is a term used to search out one's heart in order to discover the truth. The second bird, often translated as "young pigeon" is "gozel" in Hebrew meaning a vulnerable fledgling or chick and it's gentleness, and it also means to pass over something. These 2 birds were not cut in half because they represented The Holy Spirit Himself. He searches out our hearts desiring truth. ( See Psalm 51:6 and Proverbs 20:27). He convicts us of sin and when we confess our sins and repent of them the precious priceless blood of Messiah cleanses us from all sin ( 1 John 1:7-9). Because of the blood of the Sacrificial Lamb of GOD He passes over the sin, just as He passed over the houses with the smeared blood of the slain lambs in Egypt. (Note that all 3 animals used in the blood covenant with Abraham were later animals used in sacrifices in the Temple.) The third word usually just translated as "birds" is the Hebrew word "tsiphar" meaning a happily chirping singing bird dancing or jumping about! These chirping skipping birds represent the joyful, singing and skipping heart of Abba, Father GOD when we receive the blood sacrifice of Yeshuah, Jesus Christ, and are cleansed and redeemed, reconciled to Himself. Hallelujah! Next time you hear and see the chirping sparrows skipping about remember the heart of our LORD, and His joy over ever repentant sinner. See Luke 15:7

In Luke 17:26-30, The LORD Jesus warns us of the last days being like the days of Noah and of Lot. In both cases the idolatry of selfish and self-affirming sensuality, sexual depravity and corruption of the flesh had reached such a level that it was accepted as normal. People ignored and mocked God, neglected their opportunity of repentance and were consumed with the affairs of every day life, blind and deaf to the reality of eternity and having to stand before The Almighty GOD. Let us be sure that like Noah we walk before The LORD in reverent fear and like Lot, our souls remain distressed by the sensual conuct of our society and never succomb to accepting it as acceptable or even seeking to preach from a pulpit that God's Word is outdated and doesn't mean what it says. Let us walk in the fear of The LORD as strangers and exiles on the earth, ready for Him.

The Hebrew word for "steps" in Psalm 37:23 means both a journey and an ankle bracelet which was worn by wives, rather like we wear wedding rings today, as a sign of covenant commitment, conviction of belonging to another. As we walk in covenant love with The LORD, He establishes the path we tread and delights in our journey, because we walk it through together in covenant love.
